Nurse-Family Partnership Listens to First-Time Moms as the ‘Experts’ on What They and Their Families Need

Nurse-Family Partnership Listening and learning from families

Through Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), nurses work with first-time moms early in their pregnancy to provide trusted support to help them build the lives they want for themselves and their children. See how the National Service Office for Nurse-Family Partnership and Child First further applied its client-centered approach by participating in the feedback initiative Listen4Good, developing high-quality feedback loops with the families they serve. Wake County Nurse-Family Partnership, in North Carolina, featured here, is one of 80 local Nurse-Family Partnership programs across the U.S. to participate in Listen4Good. Abiding by local Covid safety restrictions, Wake County’s nurses have started returning to in-person home visits as requested by families.
